The new Yokogawa CV7000 system enables simultaneous 3-color imaging of live and fixed cells in microplate formats, including 96, 384 and 1536-well format. The key to high resolution, confocal imaging at high speed is the proprietary dual Nipkow spinning disk used with large sCMOS cameras. The latest version of the unique Yokogawa dual spinning disk, the CSU-W1 significantly reduces crosstalk, providing a breakthrough in image quality. Images are clearer even when viewing thick samples. The CV7000 offers reduced photo-bleaching and photo-toxicity and is ideal for live cell imaging. The CV7000, offers an incubated stage providing temperature, CO2 and humidity control, as well as an optional built in pipettor.
The sCMOS cameras provide an image of 2,560 X 2,160 pixels, with a 6.5μm pixel size. They are cooled to -30°C for the lowest possible background. In addition to the highest possible image quality, the CV7000 system provides fast imaging speeds of 20fps or faster. The CV7000 system can image every well in a 96-well plate using three (3) colors in under 2 minutes, and a 384-well plates in under 5 minutes.
